Color Crazy

Currently in my stampin studio, it's all about coloring.
I only have a few copic markers, but it's so much fun coloring with the copics.
Stampin Blends from Stampinup is actually a little easier to use,
and the colors are absolutely gorgeous.

Zero budget Craftroom Organization

Wellllll, in all seriousness,
I didn't spend any money, simply because I had all these already :)
I just didn't have them organized until now.

I have an empty wall in my loft area and started organizing everything
in the way that makes it easy for me to reach for things.

For one, I had the built-in shelf already,
except it used to be filled with kids boardgames
and little decorations that no one cared to use or look at anymore. :(

Now it's the happiest little corner and will get much love from me. :)

Below:
all my stamps are hiding in those Ikea cloth baskets.
I have a ton of the old classic rubber stamps
so it's not as easy to organize as the new slim case stamps
from Stampinup.
Will need to sell all the retired ones for the new ones!!
I just can't find the time to list them on ebay!!

Here's the built in.
Inkpad organizer and punch organizer are both historic items from Ikea.
I've had these for more than 20 years!
Used to be a drawer organizer, but I took all the drawers out.

For me, the priorities were the inkpads, markers, punches and dies.
That little desk space is really all that I need to create. (I think?)
We will see. hahaha

More up close:

Marker organization: I've had these Birchbox boxes for years -
I have a secret fetish for cardboard boxes - and although it was hard to destroy(?) it,
I cut one side of the box to make an opening.
Perfect for me to reach for my markers!!

Another thing I had:
white desk organizer from Pottery barn - another archaic piece. Had this for about 10 years.
One of the more time consuming things is cutting paper in the middle of a project.
Now I have them all precut - the ones I use the most (white and kraft colors).
Now I just walk over and grab the one I need!
They are all pre-cut and scored. Ready to go!

 Thank you for visiting!

More cakes

Sorry, clearly, I can't stay away from building more cakes. hahaha

This card has a fun ways to fold. 2 options!

When folded this way, you can see the embellishment in the bottom:

When opened, you can see the full cake.
You can actually fold it so the cake pops out in the front:

Or vice versa.
Nothing brilliant, just a little fun :)

And I'm not loving the quality of photos here, but oh well, I've got sick kids at home! :(

Big Shot Plus Comparison

I have owned a BigKick for almost 10 years now!
It's been a great little guy that's been die cutting EVERYTHING for me through the years.

Well, I figured 10 years is a long time, though..
And I wanted to give it a promotion.

I considered purchasing a Big Shot normal size.
I saw it on sale at Tuesday Morning for $45!
But of course, I missed the sale,
but found Michael's 60% off coupon instead.

I ended up buying Big Shot Plus for 60% off retail price!
Whoohoo!!

So let's do a little comparison.

1. It came in a HUGE box. VERY BIG!!
2. it's almost 2 times bigger than a big kick
3. It's super sturdy, the body does not wobble when turning to cut.
4. For some reason, it CUTS BETTER!! Same sandwich, but deeper impressions.
5. I DON'T have to cut 8.5x11 cardstock in half anymore!! Plus will just take it easily
6. I don't have any plus dies yet, but you can see the stuff I cut below:

I have a lot of dies from Sizzix, Spellbinders and Stampinup.

And found that overall, Big Shot Plus cuts are easier and definitely takes less effort.
I don't have to hold down the body like when I use Big Kick.
Big Shot Plus is big enough to withstand any tough cut. LOVE IT!

So my conclusion?
If you can find that 50~60% off coupons! Go to your online craft store and buy the big guy!
I really don't think it takes that much more space than the Big Kick or a Big Shot.

For about $30 more with a coupon, I think Big Shot PLUS was TOTALLY worth it!

Thank you for reading!
